This exceptionally rare gold specimen from Colorado features a remarkable cluster of wire gold. Some of the wires branch out, while others are interwoven and overlapping, displaying complex habits. The native gold crystals are lustrous, with some exhibiting flattened faces. The reverse side of the specimen showcases thick wires with similar complex overlapping patterns and a hematite matrix, an iron oxide-rich mineral. Native gold wires from this locality are seldom available to mineral collectors.
