Wire gold is exceptionally rare and this specimen being from Colorado is quite significant. Most wire gold from Colorado were melted down during the gold rush or now in museums and privet collections. This incredible specimen displays clusters of intertwined gold wires scattered throughout the quartz matrix. The gold wires are sturdy and interconnected mostly within each other as a network deeper inside the quartz matrix. Throughout the wire crystals displays great luster and striation growth patterns from when it grew. The white quartz matrix makes the gold pop and adds to its already incredible aesthetics.
