This gold quartz specimen showcases a complex, layered, sponge-like texture of native gold embellished with sparkling microcrystals that enhance its luster. Such specimens are exceptionally rare, especially since the Manhattan Mine has ceased operations. Visible from all angles, the gold crystal clusters exhibit subtle dendritic crystallization and contain a small amount of quartz matrix. The specimen is dense and displays a rich, buttery yellow color, distinct from the pale yellow typically found in crystals from this locality. This natural gold specimen is a remarkable example from this locality.
