Slightly Flattened Gold Octahedron Crystal

Gold Run Creek - Yukon, Canada

This unusually rare native gold crystal is large for its locality. The gold specimen is an octahedral crystal which exhibits a large cubed crystal on its reverse side terminating out from the main crystal surface. The complex single crystal displays three dimensional crystal habits with a sections of reflective surfaces which display good luster. On most of the reflective crystallized surfaces there are white quartz attached and in some areas the quartz is transparent like a crystal but no quartz crystal points are present. The gold crystal is slightly weathered by the creek overtime for multiple millennium.
