Native Leaf Gold Crystals on Limonite Quartz Matrix

The native gold here is a rare example of lustrous leafy crystals on quartz. The gold is visible all throughout the specimen showcasing complex formations in some areas. The top section of the gold specimen display a maze network of leaf crystals forming a crisscross crystal habit. Other areas exhibits layers of large leaf gold stacked in an overlapping fashion. There are sections of limonite present near where the quartz meets the gold crystals which gives the leaf gold some incredible contrast. With such a leafy and well defined crystallized gold specimen makes this one of the best from this locality.
