This remarkable native gold features a unique crystal structure with highly textured surfaces. The crystal formation resembles a sponge-like character, composed of intricate and complex microcrystals. Under magnification, the fascinating crystal morphology becomes even more apparent. Some crystals exhibit a high luster on their surfaces, while others shine in only one direction. The reverse side reveals more defined crystals, with thick plates of leaf gold intersecting one another. Numerous smaller crystals are also visible across the surface, with the entire specimen radiating an impressive buttery yellow hue.
