Native Gold

This extraordinary native gold displays a unique crystal structure with very textured surfaces. Its crystal structure is close to a sponge like character with complex and intricate micro crystals. Under magnification the gold appears to fascinate in its intracule crystal morphology. Some crystals exhibit great luster on its surfaces while others only display a shin in one direction. The reverse side has much more defined crystals of thick plates of leaf gold intercepting each other. Many smaller crystals are also visible on its surface with the entire specimen radiating an impressive buttery yellow hue.
