Crystallized Gold on Volcanic Matrix
Mad Mutha Mine, Humboldt County, Nevada
This interesting gold specimen displays highly aesthetic native gold crystals with very intricate crystal morphology. The gold crystals formed into short wire gold overlapping and intercrossing and some areas display dendritic crystallization similar to a fern tree. Its surface is mostly covered in a thick rich vein of crystallized gold making the overall specimen dense. The native gold displays a bright buttery yellow color and good luster. Its good size and absolutely impressive aesthetics make this gold specimen a very displayable mineral for any collector. Gold specimens from this locality are extremely rare and not often available to mineral collectors.
