Long Dendritic Native Silver Crystals in Calcite Matrix
Bouismas Mine, Agdz, Bou Azzer mining district, Zagora Province, Drâa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
This rare native silver specimen on calcite displays long clustered singular crystals which then form into dendritic native silver crystals. Although silver is more abundant than gold its far rarer in crystallized native form. The native silver displays Arborescent formations measuring high luster crystals and covered with darker crystals of silver sulfide. The hefty specimen of native silver is mostly visible, covering a majority of the white calcite matrix.
