This impressive native gold specimen displays wires of dendritic gold crystals branching out on complex overlapping habits. This unique formation of gold is a first for its locality and never before seen from our understanding. These gold wires are lustrous and a rich buttery yellow color which tells us it's a high purity gold content as well. On the upper middle section of the matrix is a cavity which inside developed a clusters of lustrous dendritic gold crystals. The crystals are sharp and straight which is different from the surrounding gold wires that are curved and overlapping. This native gold specimen has a limonite matrix which is the brownish red area surrounding the gold wires. The native gold specimen is a very rare example and no wire gold of this type was ever reported before from its locality. This is one of the most finest wire gold from Placerville any collector can obtain.
