Crstallized Gold on Quartz

This gold specimen here is a great example from the Eagle's Nest Mine. Its crystal structure includes flat sculptural crystal morphology with lustrous faces. The crystals of native gold are clustered together forming a rich vein of native gold crystals on top of quartz matrix. Nearly every crystal displays lustrous faces with bright buttery yellow color. The quartz matrix makes for a great contrast with the gold crystals.
