Gold Nugget

This exceptional gold nugget discovered in the arid Sonora Desert is an exceedingly rare mineral specimen that is often inaccessible to collectors. Unearthed by a local prospector in an ancient tertiary gold-bearing channel, its surface exhibits a remarkable luster with smooth faces interspersed with rugged and robust areas. The nugget exhibits cavities where the original iron rich dark red soil left its oxide stain is still present which also provides impressive aesthetics. The reverse side also displays smooth natural surfaces with a comparable luster and similar smooth features. The gold specimen is a solid, chunky piece with a rich, saturated buttery yellow color.
