Gold in Quartz Specimen

This extraordinary gold nugget displays a bright yellow hue with milky white quartz surrounding the native gold. The surface of the gold in some areas still have lustrous crystalline faces while mostly being smooth on its outer edges. In partial areas the gold is rigid with a textured surface and visible striations running across. The specimen is very rich in gold and is visible on every side of the quarts matrix the gold is incased in. The opposite side features smooth natural surfaces with a comparable luster. This gold specimen is a solid chunk and a prime example of natural gold in quartz for its locality.
