Gold in Quartz Specimen
Murray, Idaho
This extraordinary gold specimen displays a saturated deep honey yellow color with milky white quartz surrounding the native gold. The surface of the gold displays sections of angular cubic reverse crystals with very high lustrous crystalline faces while mostly being smooth on its outer edges. In partial areas the gold developed into clusters of crystallized textured surface and visible striations running across. The specimen is very rich in gold and is visible on every side of the quarts matrix the gold is incased in. Its opposite side features lustrous natural surfaces with a comparable beautiful aesthetics. This gold specimen is a solid chunk and a prime example of natural gold in quartz for its locality.
