Dendritic Native Silver Crystals on White Calcite
Bouismas Mine, Bou Azzer mining district, Drâa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
 
This beautiful example exhibits perfect dendritic crystals similar to snowflakes on rich white calcite matrix. The native silver grows flat thin plates which are held together by complex snowflake like dendritic crystallization and does not spread out on all sides randomly. The crystals are very intriguing to examine up close as I never seen anything like it before from this locality.
