Crystallized Spinel Twin Gold Crystal

This very rare and incredible gold crystal displays an unusually high luster and incredible crystal morphology. Its major crystals are thick plates that have secondary growth of spinel twin geometric crystals. In some areas the large leafy crystals are textured with complex striations and curves edges. The native gold is a bright yellow color with even saturation all around and its main bright yellow leaf crystal developed into a naturally modified octahedron at its tip. The reverse side developed small crystals of geometric shapes all clustered in dendritic crystal morphology right on top of the main thick lustrous leaf crystal. Its crystal habits are three dimensional with depth and complex curves and ribbon like growth patterns. The gold crystal is perfectly complete all around and most likely grew in this shape in a mud cavity. This rare gold crystal is a great representation from this remote locality.
