Crystallized Gold with Quartz

This dramatic native gold specimen displays a thick rich vein of buttery yellow gold with bright crystals curving and twisting in the quartz matrix. The crystalline gold branches out in multiple directions throughout the specimen. Some areas display modified octahedral crystal faces while other areas exhibit large flat lustrous crystal faces with highly visible sharp striations. This is a very rare and aesthetic specimen from Mariposa California.
