Crystallized Gold

This fascinating gold specimen exhibits an unusual shape with clusters of intricate gold crystals forming a complex crystalline habit. The gold developed into multiple crystallized characteristics with the front side developing short branching crystals and dendritic leafy morphology. On its reverse side the native gold has a small limonite matrix in between the crystalline gold structure. In some areas the gold developed small lustrous flat crystals which reflect light and make the specimen sparkle with robust crystalline aesthetics. This specimen is a rare example of natural gold from a historical gold county.
