Crystallized Gold on Quartz with Limonite

This specimen of crystallized gold developed as clusters of leafy crystals with lustrous flat faces. The crystallized gold are mostly thick and some beautifully branching out as dendritic habits from the quartz matrix. Some areas of the top section display a small concentration of limonite together with the crystallized gold. The gold crystals are nicely terminated from the quartz matrix and display three dimensional aesthetics in perfect contrast with the white quartz matrix.
