This remarkable gold specimen, found in the dry Sonora Desert, is an exceptionally rare locality specimen, often out of reach for collectors. Discovered by a local prospector in a rich quartz vein imbedded with gold crystals. This gold specimen exhibits a very high purity of gold ranging from 94-96% pure gold, making this natural gold specimen few and far between. The crystal faces display a striking luster, with sharp pointy tips and clusters of buttery yellow dendritic robust crystals in certain areas. On the opposite side, it showcases branching crystals of high purity native gold on a translucent quartz matrix. This gold specimen presents a rare example of pure crystalline natural gold found in just as handful of placed on this planet of high purity.
