Crystallized Gold on Quartz

This native gold specimen displays well crystallized angular flat crystals of lustrous gold. The crystal structure is unique in the way that nearly every crystal growth are right angled cubes of negative crystals. The tip of the specimen curves into an almost thick wire like habit. The gold specimen is also highly displayable with spectacular crystals on both sides. The white quartz makes the gold pop out and adds to its already impressive aesthetics.
