This native gold crystal displays an incredible vibrant yellow hue unique to gold found in Mariposa County. The gold has crystallized into many flat faces showing off a very high luster. The middle sections of the gold specimen display a large cavity with smaller leaf habits and clusters of crystallized gold crystals formed in its interior. The quartz matrix is displayed in the perfect contrast to the native gold crystals on top. This rare gold crystal specimen is a prime example of leafy aesthetics for its locality.
