Crystallized Gold

This dramatic gold crystal originated from a very rare locality and often unheard of. What adds to its uniqueness are the sharp well defined crystallization which is rarely seen with gold specimens from Mexico. The crystal morphology on the front side developed sharp angular blocky crystal growth with short clustered slightly hoppered crystals of native gold overlapping and intersecting one another. Section of the native gold developed lustrous gold with slightly textured surface and secondary microcrystal growth. The native gold crystal is a rich buttery yellow color with good luster. This gold specimen is a great representation from its locality.
