Crystallized Gold
El Dorado County, California 
This sculptural gold specimen displays three dimensional crystal morphology and aesthetically lustrous surfaces. Its crystal faces are textured and flat geometric formations with thick branching short crystals on its sides. Many clusters of curved and hollowed formations are also shown with secondary micro crystals. The surface exhibits a high saturation of buttery yellow color which adds to its already wonderful aesthetics. Some quartz is also attached to the gold which adds to its natural beauty. Gold from this gold rush county is rare and this is a great example from its locality.
