This highly aesthetic gold crystal displays perfectly crystallized lustrous leafy gold crystals in a twinned growth. What makes this gold specimen unique and extremely rare are two completely different colored gold crystals growing on top of each other. The top section of the gold specimen is a lighter color of gold called green gold which is a naturally occurring high silver alloy mixed with native gold. The bottom portion is a higher purity of crystallized gold which is a much more saturated buttery yellow color. This is an incredible example of how two completely different forms of gold can naturally occur together but separated by its growth pattern. This is a rare and prime example of unusual native gold from this locality.
