This is one of the most impressive and extraordinary gold crystals from this locality with crystallized aesthetics unique like no other. Gold from the Eagles Nest Mine is very rare and no new production from this mine is seen for over a decade. What is so inscribable about this gold specimen are is extremely vibrant and lustrous crystal habits. It’s so lustrous that the camera has a hard time photographing each crystal. The native gold crystal displays unique highly dendritic crystallized gold overlapping and intersecting as clustered bright crystals. With certain areas having clusters of native gold other have perfect octahedral micro crystals as a secondary growth on a leafy surface. The network of crystal morphology is mesmerizing with closer examination. On the reverse side the gold developed flat well defined dendritic crystals with some of the gold crystals extending and branching out on its sides. The reverse side also displays clusters of octahedral crystals with extreme luster and beautifully formed perfect crystals. The photo do not do justice on this specimen and is even better looking in person.
