This well-defined wire gold is from the famous Liberty mine in Washington State. The gold specimen displays intricate short wires of native gold all around the specimen. Each gold wire is closely clustered together in a complex fashion forming a solid plate of wires. The intercut formation of native gold exhibits overlapping and intersecting crystals of fine gold wires is fascinating under magnification. Its intense luster and incredibly beautiful buttery yellow color are a rarity and often seen an a pale yellow from this locality. The piece has breathtaking ascetics on both sides and is a prime example of what the best type of gold looks like from this locality.
