The Round Mountain Mine is extremely important both historically and to the native mineral collecting world. It's responsible for a large portion of crystal gold specimens in the market and of the best quality. The Round Mountain Mine currently does not produce much good quality crystals as it once did and this piece brings both rarity and well-defined aesthetics to the table. In front of the crystal gold is an area of crystalline gold which some are complex gold crystals and in the background is a twined law gold formation in its early stage. On the reverse on the crystal gold is a smooth reflective surface and similar to what leaf gold looks like with slight gold crystal formation. This piece is truly a rare collectible thumbnail specimen and is hard to come by today.
